Purposes of processing and categories of personal data
We process personal data pursuant to Art. 4 DS-GVO and special personal data (e.g. interests) pursuant to Article 9 (1) DS-GVO in accordance with the provisions of the EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (DSGVO) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu):
We process special personal data pursuant to Art. 9 para. 2 d) DS-GVO on the basis of suitable guarantees within the scope of our lawful activities and pursuant to Art. 9 para. 2 a) or Art. 6 DS-GVO on the basis of your consent.
If you have given us permission to process personal data for certain purposes (e.g. passing on data to our associations, processing enquiries, invitations to information events), the legality of this processing is given on the basis of your consent.
A given consent can be revoked at any time. Please note that the revocation will only take effect in the future. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected by this.
Recipient of personal data
Within the GCAAI, the ones who will have access to your information are those who need to respond to your request and/or to comply with the membership and statutory requirements of obligation contract processors commissioned by us. They can also receive data for these purposes if they guarantee the requirements of the EU Data Protection Basic Regulation / the Federal Data Protection Act.
Data Storage
We store the data collected in Amazon AWS S3 and google Drive in an encrypted. We will keep your registration data with the duration you being a member of GCAAI. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by erasing them on both AWS S3 and Google Drive.
Usage of Cookies
We don't use cookies to remember user information on our services.
Transfer of data to a third country
Since we use Amazon AWS and google drive to process and store the data. A data transfer to countries outside the EU or the EEA (so-called third countries) takes place.
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside Germany and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Germany and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Business documents, contribution payments or donation payments are kept in accordance with the legal requirements.
